Financial Fair Play: UEFA "takes note" of CAS decision regarding the appeal of Paris Saint-Germain

"UEFA takes note of today's decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), in Lausanne (SUI), by means of which the appeal filed by Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Conforama) against UEFA with respect to the decision rendered by the CFCB Adjudicatory Chamber on 19/09/2018 was upheld and the challenged decision set aside," stated the European football confederation on 19/03/2019.

On 13/06/2018, the UEFA CFCB body decided to close its investigation, thereby validating Paris Saint-Germain's compliance with UEFA's Financial Fair Play rules. On 22/06/2018, José de Cunha Rodrigues (POR), chairman of the CFCB, decided in favor of a review of the decision from the CFCB Adjudicatory Chamber, which decided, on 19/09/2018, that the case should be returned to the CFCB Investigatory Chamber for reconsideration.
