FIGC: Giorgio Armani becomes official tailor (2019-23), Lidl extends as premium sponsor until 2022

Giorgio Armani, a luxury Italian fashion designer, has become the official tailor of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) for four years (2019-2023), according to the FIGC who presented the agreement "in the presence of the FIGC president Gabriele Gravina; Giuseppe Marsocci, CEO of Giorgio Armani; the national team manager Roberto Mancini and the captain of the Azzurri Giorgio Chiellini (Juventus FC)," on 18/03/2019. As part of the agreement Armani will provide formal wear for the Italian men's, women's and U21's national teams on matchdays. The value of the contract has not been communicated.

"The new partnership underlines Giorgio Armani's strong bond with the world of sport. Over the years, the designer has collaborated with the English national football team and with some of the most important international clubs, such as Newcastle United FC, Chelsea FC (Premier League) and FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga), designing their official suits," said the Italian Federation.
