The British bank Barclays, through The FA, has become the title sponsor of the FA Women's Super League (English women's first division), which will be renamed the "Barclays FA Women's Super League" in 2019-20 on 20/03/2018. The value of the agreement, which covers the 2019-2022 period, is estimated by British media at £10m (€11m) over three years.

"The new partnership includes The FA and Barclays working together to drive the growth of the women's game at a grassroots level, with Barclays becoming the lead partner of the FA Girls' Football School Partnerships, a nationwide scheme to help develop girls' access to football at school," said The FA.

The English Women's league has 11 clubs in 2018-19. It is the only 100% professional women's football competition in Europe.

Barclays Bank, which was title sponsor of the Premier League between 2001-02 and 2015-16 (see below), also extended as the "official banking partner" of the Premier League for the 2019-2022 cycle on the same day. Barclays became the official banking partner of the Premier League for the 2016-2019 cycle on 17/03/2016.
