Liga NOS: SL Benfica sells Benfica TV and the company that operates the Estádio de la Luz for €99.3m

The General Assembly of Sport Lisboa e Benfica (Liga NOS) has unanimously approved the sale of the entire share capital of Benfica Estádio - Construção e Gestão de Estádios SA, the company in charge of operating the Estádio da Luz (64,165 capacity), and Benfica TV SA, in charge of the Lisbon (POR) club's television channel, for the benefit of Sport Lisboa e Benfica SGPS SA for a total of €99.297m, according to the club on 15/03/2019.

The payments will be spread over 25 years from 01/07/2019, with an interest rate fixed "according to market conditions", with Sport Lisboa e Benfica SGPS SA, which is also a shareholder of SL Benfica (23.65%), having the option of proceeding with advance payments.

"This operation is beneficial for SL Benfica without causing any disadvantage to shareholders," added the Lisbon club.
