Sandro Rosell will no longer be vice-president of ECA, or a member of the UEFA Strategic Council

Sandro Rosell, who resigned from the presidency of FC Barcelona after "the Neymar case" on the 23/01/2014, will also leave his post as second vice-president of the ECA (European Club Association). The Spaniard will also give up, at the same time, his position as a representative of the ECA in the UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) Strategic Council, and as a member of the UEFA Committee of interclub competitions.

Rosell announced his "irrevocable" resignation from his position as president of FC Barcelona (Liga, ESP), during a special meeting of the Board of the club, on the 23/01/2014: "From the beginning, I have said the signing of Neymar has been correct and that his signing has caused despair and envy in some of our adversaries. I do not want unfair attacks to negatively affect the management or the image of the club. So I think the time has come for me to leave," he explained.
