France: beIN Sports acquires rights to broadcast MLS, up to seven matches per week

The pay-TV group beIN Sports France has acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights, in France, to Major League Soccer (MLS) on 27/03/2019. The duration of the contract has not been specified, but Major League Soccer usually markets its international audiovisual rights for four seasons, which would cover the 2019-2022 cycle.

"beIN Sports will offer up to 7 matches per week on its channels, including two of the best games live per matchday on its premium channels," said beIN Sports, which replaces Eurosport, TV rights holder of the North American league in France for the 2015-2018 cycle.

beIN Sports is thus strengthening its portfolio of rights to foreign football leagues - LaLiga Santander, Serie A TIM, Bundesliga, Süper Lig, SuperLiga (Argentine first division) - and US sports (NBA, NFL and MLB).
