Premier League: 2019 edition of the Premier League Asia Trophy to take place in China in July

The 2019 edition of the "Premier League Asia Trophy", a biennial summer tournament organised by the Premier League since 2003 to promote its development on the Asian continent, will take place in China from 17/07 to 20/07/2019, announced the English league on 26/03/2019.

Manchester City FC, Newcastle United FC, West Ham United FC and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC will be the four Premier League clubs participating in the tournament, with the semi-finals to be held in Nanjing on 17/07/2019, while the match for third place and the final will take place in Shanghai on 20/07/2019.

China has hosted five of the first eight editions of the Premier League Asia Trophy. The 2017 edition was held in Singapore. Until the 2019 edition, the tournament had previously always included three Premier League clubs and one local team (club, national or regional team).
