Germany: DFL inaugurates an office in Beijing (China) its third abroad after Singapore and New York

The DFL officially opened its office in Beijing (China) on 27/03/2019. On 15/01/2019, the German League announced the opening of its third office overseas, following those opened in Singapore (2012) and New York, USA (2018).

"With the new branch, the DFL aims to make direct contact with football fans and partners in the most populous country in the world as football continues to enjoy a huge popularity in China," said the German league, which is organising the "Bundesliga Legends Tour" a tour consisting of former players Bundesliga players led by 1990 World Cup winner Jürgen Klinsmann, in Beijing from 11/04 to 15/04/2019.

"The DFL is thus now present in what are by far the two largest economies in the world, USA and China, and has direct access to four of the seven largest economies globally - counting its home market of Germany and India. The Bundesliga became the first European league ever to be represented in Asia when it opened a DFL office in Singapore back in 2012," added the DFL.
