Borussia Dortmund: launch of a digital trading card application with Fantastec (technology)

Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga) has collaborated with Fantastec, a British company specialised in technological innovations dedicated to sport, to launch a new mobile and tablet application allowing fans to own and exchange digital trading cards featuring the club's players, announced the club on 28/03/2019.

"The groundbreaking app allows fans to discover, collect and share officially licensed club content such as player autographs and exclusive videos of their favorite soccer teams. The real player profiles are time-stamped and authenticated using the latest blockchain technology," said the German club.

"Fantastec SWAP encourages fans to build their team collections through in-app team packages and exchanges with other fans around the world. The Blockchain-operated platform offers similar features to social networks, where fans can connect and exchange their collectibles with the same self-confidence and trust, just like a physical interaction," said the German club. The app is available for free via the App Store and Google Play.
