LaLiga Santander: Puma to succeed adidas as equipment supplier of Valencia CF from 2019-20

The sports equipment manufacturer Puma will succeed fellow German brand adidas as the equipment supplier of Valencia CF (LaLiga Santander) from 01/07/2019 and the 2019-20 season, announced the club on 01/04/2019. While the duration of the partnership has not been communicated, the club has mentioned "a long-term agreement".

Puma will have the status of main partner, the first level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the Spanish club. "Valencia CF and Puma will work together in the design of a global strategy to promote mutual growth and they will do so by promoting the concept of 'Valentia', which is as deeply rooted in the club as it is in its players and fans and which has its origin in the Roman name of the city, Valentia - 'The city of the brave'," explained the club.

Puma was previously the equipment supplier to the club between 1990 and 1993. Since then, five equipment manufacturers have succeeded each other at Valencia CF: Luanvi (ESP, 1993-2000), Nike (USA, 2000-2009), Kappa (ITA, 2009-2011), Joma (ESP, 2011-2014) and adidas (GER, 2014-2019).
