"A distinction must be made between self-esteem and self-confidence. Self-esteem is a fairly abstract image of its own value, it does not change much over the course of life. What served me well was that I didn't have a very high self-esteem, but I had a great deal of self-confidence. I knew I could fight, I always knew how to be vigilant - 'You're not strong enough, you have to be stronger!' - this form of permanent dissatisfaction that I had deep inside me allowed me to question myself. As a result, I've always been looking for innovation," explained Arsène Wenger, former Arsenal FC (Premier League) manager from 1996 to 2018 in Paris (FRA) on 01/04/2019.

Arsène Wenger participated in an evening entitled "What do you think, Arsène Wenger?", organised by his friend Christian Jeanpierre, a journalist at the French TV network TF1, and whose profits are intended for the Premiers de cordée association, which offers free sports activities for hospitalised children in France.
