The 128th General Meeting of the IFAB (International Football Association Board), scheduled for 01/03/2014 in Zurich (SUI), will be the first since the adoption of new articles in the Laws of the Game on 13/01/2014.

Now an independent institution under Swiss law, the IFAB has a new structure to guide its positions:
- A technical committee (14 members maximum) that brings together referee experts from around the world.
- A football committee (20 members maximum) that brings together former players and managers, managers in business, members of FIFPro (International Federation of Professional Footballers) and technical directors of the six confederations.
- An office of executive support, which will be the administrative arm of the IFAB.

The main elements of the structural redesign, and in particular the composition of the two new committees, will be presented at the general meeting chaired by Joseph Blatter, president of FIFA.

  • The topic of headgear is one of the main items on the agenda of the 128th Annual General Meeting of the IFAB (amendment of Law 4 - The Players’ Equipment)
