Real Madrid CF: redevelopment of the Santiago Bernabéu should begin at the end of the 2018-19 season

"We have received approval for the work and we are in the analysis phase. That's why I want you to know that next week, we will sign the final contract and during the month of April (2019) we will begin allocating the projects with the aim of starting as soon as possible when this season (2018-19) finishes," said Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander), during the official presentation of the renovation plans for the Santiago Bernabéu (80,000 capacity), on 02/04/2019.

Real Madrid CF's (LaLiga Santander) socios validated the project for the management of the club to contract a loan of €525m to finance the redevelopment plan of the stadium, at the Spanish club's extraordinary general assembly on 23/09/2018. The cost of the stadium renovation work - which will not increase its capacity - will be distributed as follows:
• €300m for structural work including the installation of a roof and the complete renovation of the facade
