Serie A TIM: two Juventus FC players B. Matuidi and M. Kean targets of racism versus Cagliari Calcio

Two Juventus FC (Serie A TIM) players, Frenchman Blaise Matuidi and Italian Moise Kean, were the targets of racism during Cagliari Calcio - Juventus FC (0-2), an advanced game counting for Matchday 30 of the 2018-19 Serie A TIM season, on 02/04/2019.

These boos and hisses were particularly loud when the youngster Moise Kean, born on 28/02/2000, scored Juventus' second goal, then stood still, arms apart, in front of a stand in the stadium, which provoked, after the match, a reaction from his team-mate Leonardo Bonucci: "Kean knows that when he scores, he should celebrate with his teammates. He knows he could have done something different. I think the fault is 50-50 split. Moses shouldn't have done that and the stand shouldn't have reacted like that."

Later in the evening, Giorgio Chiellini, captain of Juventus FC, defended Moise Kean: "Moise is a legacy of Italian football, a golden boy, who is doing his best and should not appear for what he is not. He is a very positive figure and certainly did not deserve the insults received."
