France: the French Football Federation celebrates its 100^th anniversary

"The association known as the "French Football Federation" founded on 07/04/1919 by transforming the "Comité français interfédéral" created in 1906, and recognised as a public utility by decree on 04/12/1922, includes sports groups referred to as clubs whose main or secondary purpose is to play football", states the very first paragraph (article 1, paragraph 1) of the FFF statutes, an organisation which celebrates its 100 year anniversary on Sunday 07/04/2019.

The Federation began its centenary celebrations with the France - Iceland (4-0) Group H qualifier for Euro 2020, the first match of Les Bleus at the Stade de France in 2019 on 25/03/2019: a giant tarpaulin was rolled out on the pitch before the match, a commemorative shirt created by Nike (equipment supplier of the Federation) was worn by Les Bleus and a film on the big screens featuring French football's greatest moments was broadcast on the big screens.
