LaLiga Santander: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 20 clubs (April 2019)

The 20 clubs in the 2018-19 LaLiga Santander have more than 458 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/04/2019. This total makes the LaLiga Santander the most popular European Top 5 league on all three social networks, ahead of the Premier League. The Spanish Championship has an average of around 23 million fans per club.

Real Madrid CF is Spain's most followed club with close to 212 million total fans, FC Barcelona, is second with nearly 200 million in total. Club Atlético de Madrid completes the podium and has more than 24.6 million fans.

On Instagram, FC Barcelona recorded the second largest increase in the Top 5 (+1.4 million followers), behind Juventus FC (Serie A TIM, +1.5 million) but ahead of Real Madrid (+1.1 million). Real Valladolid CF crossed the 100,000 followers mark on this same social network (+5,900), which saw Villarreal CF posting the best percentage growth (+12%).
