New Balance: construction of "The Track" a 5,000 capacity multi-sport complex in Boston for 2021

New Balance, an American sports equipment manufacturer, has announced the construction of "The Track at New Balance", a multi-sport complex at Boston Landing (Boston, Massachusetts, USA) "a mixed-use development encompassing approximately 15 acres of land," announced the brand on 01/04/2019.

The 5,000-seat venue, which New Balance will promote and operate, will also include a concert hall (3,500 capacity) and a research centre. The stadium is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2021.

The athletics complex will include a 200-meter hydraulically banked indoor athletics track, a warm-up track and a 20,000sq. ft. laboratory that "will focus on running, soccer, baseball, tennis, basketball, and more using next-generation motion capture, specialty treadmills, and force-platform technology. Boston Landing's vision is to create a state-of-the-art development that complements the existing neighborhood fabric through the creation of new office space, retail stores, restaurants, and sports-related uses," added the American brand.
