Euro 2016: Atelier Ferret presents two models for the renovation of Delelis-Bollaert stadium in Lens

Atelier Ferret agency, architect for the renovation of the Felix Delelis-Bollaert stadium in Lens, has presented two models of the project on 04/02/2014.

The work aims to modernise the enclosure and reduce its capacity to 35,000 seats from the 41,200 places in 2013-14. The overall cost of the project is €70 million before taxes. Felix Delelis-Bollaert stadium is one of the 10 host stadiums for Euro 2016 from 10/06 to 10/07/2016.

Work should begin in March 2014 and be completed in the summer of 2015. The first work only concerns the area around the stadium, namely roads and the entrance square. The goal is not to hinder the current matches of RC Lens (Ligue 2) until the end of the season. The club is looking for a temporary stadium to host its home matches in 2014-15.
