With nearly 5.2 million fans on social networks (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram), Valencia CF (LaLiga Santander) has 3 times as many as Villarreal CF (LaLiga Santander), which totals almost 1.7 million, as the two Spanish teams prepare to face each other in the first leg quarterfinal of the 2018-19 Europa League, at the Estadio de la Cerámica (ESP), on Thursday 11/04/2019 (kick-off at 21:00 CET).

In terms of turnover, Valencia CF posted revenues (excluding capital gains on player transfers) of €105.5m in 2017-18, slightly higher than Villarreal CF, which posted revenues of €97.4m the same year.

In 2018-19 the Valencian club has an average attendance of 39,767 spectators (80% fill rate) at the Estadio Mestalla (49,677 capacity) after 31 LaLiga Santander matchdays, while Villarreal CF has an average of 16,631 spectators (68% fill rate) at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
