Le Coq Sportif: a record turnover of €123.8m (+5.3%) in 2018

The French brand Le Coq Sportif generated €123.8m in turnover during the financial year 2018 (from 01/01 to 31/12/2018), up 5.3% compared to 2017 (€117.5m), according to the Swiss investment holding company Airesis on 12/04/2019.

The French equipment manufacturer is continuing its profitability for the second consecutive year, after a positive 2017 financial year following four negative years previously. EBITDA was at €5.39m in 2018, up from €3.79 in 2017. Le Coq Sportif generated a net profit of €863,000, compared to €623,000 in 2017.

"Operating expenses remain under control while marketing investments have been made; partnerships have been established in the world of professional sports, such as with the Renault F1, the French Rugby Federation and in boxing with Tony Yoka. It is through sport, a vector strong in emotions, that Le Coq Sportif intends to perpetuate the notoriety of its brand," which holds 82% of the equipment manufacturer's capital. This is the highest annual turnover in the history of the Le Coq Sportif brand, the previous record was set in 2012 (€119m).
