Germany: Federation-League agreement to determine profile and identity of future DFB president

To determine together the ideal profile of the future president of the DFB, and then choosing the candidate who will be supported by both the German Federation and the DFL during the vote scheduled during the General Assembly of the DFB in Frankfurt (GER), on 27/09/2019, is the objective of the new agreement between the DFB and the DFL, indicated the German League on 11/04/2019.

In office since 15/04/2016, Reinhard Grindel resigned from his position as president of the DFB with immediate effect on 02/04/2019. The German newspaper Bild had reported the day before, on 01/04/2019, that the leader had received for his birthday, in September 2017, a luxury watch from Grigoriy Surkis (UKR), then vice-president of the UEFA.
