Ireland: 2019 Women's World Cup to broadcast in full on free-to-air TV for the first time

Irish public television group RTÉ and the Irish private group TG4 (Irish Gaelic language) have acquired the rights, in Ireland, to broadcast the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup, according to FIFA on 16/04/2019.

This is the first time that the competition will be broadcast in full on free-TV in Ireland, while the national team is not qualified for the final phase of the 2019 edition.

RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player (on-demand service) will broadcast 23 games, including three quarter-finals, a semi-final and the final. TG4 will broadcast 29 games in total including the opening game, a quarter-final, a semi-final, the match for third place and a summary of the final.
