MLS: New York City FC to let its fans to create the club's logo

Future MLS (Major League Soccer) franchise New York City FC will let its fans create the club's logo, the club announced on 04/02/2014. Once created, the drawing will become a part of the official logo of the team, which will be revealed on 10/03/2014. "This badge will be a lasting tribute to the founding fans of this new team in New York," said the club.

To facilitate the creation process, New York City FC have made a dedicated platform available on its official website. In several steps, users can create their own logo by choosing the shape, colour and symbols while adding their own images. A mobile version will also be available to enable the integration of New York City pictures directly from their smartphones.

  • New York City FC is a franchise jointly owned by Manchester City (Premier League, 70-75% ownership) and the New York Yankees (USA, Major League Baseball, 25-30% ownership).
  • This twentieth MLS club will begin in the MLS in 2015.
