Borussia Mönchengladbach: a week-long promotional tour to China, from 19 to 26/05/2019

"Immediately after the climax of the current Bundesliga season next month, Borussia will travel to China for a week long end-of-season tour. Alongside a friendly against Chinese Super League side Guangzhou R&F (CSL), the Foals will also visit the club offices in Shanghai," the German club said on 12/04/2019.

Borussia Mönchengladbach opened an office in Shanghai in order to increase its reputation in China in October 2018. On this occasion, the club also created the company "Borussia Mönchengladbach (Shanghai) Sport Development Ltd.", in charge of all the actions of the club in the Chinese territory.

"Over the course of the previous year, we haven’t just developed our exciting project in China, we have also continued to inspire many Chinese fans through our sustainable approach and specialised communication to our Chinese colleagues. We now want to use our end-of-season tour to strengthen our work in China, launch other projects and deepen our current contacts," said Stephan Schippers, the CEO of Borussia Mönchengladbach.
