The Italian telecommunications operator Telecom Italia (TIM) extended its partnership with the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) for four seasons (2019-2023) on 17/04/2019. TIM has been a partner of the Federation since 1999, 20 years in a row.

TIM has the status of "Top Partner", the second level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the Federation. "TIM will be the partner of all national teams: men, women, U21, youth, five-a-side and beach soccer," explained the FIGC.

TIM has also been a partner of La Lega Serie A since the 1998-99 season. The telecom operator holds the naming rights to the Serie A, called the Serie A TIM. The amount of the agreement, renewed 26/07/2018 for the cycle (2018-2021), is estimated at €15m per season.

In 2018-19, TIM also accompanies the Serie A TIM clubs Empoli FC and SPAL 2013. The Italian telecom operator also benefits from a presence in Brazilian Serie A, being a partner of four clubs for 2019 (Fluminense, Flamengo, Botafogo and Vasco de Gama).
