Germany: foundation stone of the DFB's future headquarters to be laid in Frankfurt on 03/05/2019

The foundation stone for the DFB's new headquarters and academy will be laid in Frankfurt am Main (Hesse, Germany) on Friday 03/05/2019, according to the German Association on 22/04/2019.

The new DFB building will bring together the administrative and sports sectors under one roof. The academy is scheduled to open at the end of 2021.

Rainer Koch and Reinhard Rauball, DFB vice-presidents who replaced Reinhard Grindel after his resignation on 02/04/2019 and are acting as interim co-presidents until the general assembly scheduled on 27/09/2019, will attend the ceremony on 03/05/2019.

Friedrich Curtius, secretary general of the German Football Association, and Oliver Bierhoff, the DFB's national teams and academy director, will also be present.

• 49,365 square meters: total area of the building.

• 543 workstations

• 5 seminar rooms and 4 conference rooms for the approximately 220 conferences or workshops organised each year by the German Association.
