The fast food pizza chain Papa John's will become a sponsor of Newcastle United (Premier League) until June 2014, the club announced on 06/02/2014. The contract was negotiated by the marketing agency SportQuake.

The American company will advertise in the media communications of the club and on the advertising boards at St. James Park (52,387 seats). It will also use the image of the Magpies for its own campaigns. Papa John's will launch a special offer for supporters: if the team scores two goals, the pizzas are half price.

"We knew the best way to kick off our relationship - give the supporters fantastic pizzas and deals," said the marketing manager of Papa John's, Andrew Gallagher. Papa John's is also a partner with the Football League for 2013-14, which includes 72 professional clubs of the second, third and fourth British divisions.
