Ligue 1 Conforama: Stéphanie Frappart to become the 1^st female central referee on 28/04/2019

Stéphanie Frappart will become the first female central referee to officiate in the Ligue 1 Conforama, during the Amiens SC - RC Strasbourg Alsace game (Matchday 34, at the Stade de la Licorne, Sunday 28/04/2019, kick-off at 15:00 CET), according to the FFF on 23/04/2019.

Selected by FIFA for the 2019 Women's World Cup, Stéphanie Frappart was appointed for this Ligue 1 Conforama match by the FFF's refereeing department headed by Pascal Garibian. "At 35 years of age, she has been officiating in the Domino's Ligue 2 since 2014, where she is the only female to occupy the position," said the LFP on 23/04/2019.

"FIFA has invited the federations with a referee selected for the Women's World Cup to prepare them in the best possible conditions for this high-level competition. Their preparation, technical, athletic, will also focus on the use of video assistant referees, which will be in use during the World Cup," said the French Football Federation.
