Borussia Dortmund - Schalke 04 (2-4), Matchday 31 of the 2018-19 Bundesliga season drew an average of 5.38 million viewers on the German public-TV channel ARD, on Saturday 27/04/2019 (kick-off at 15:30 CET). This figure represented an audience share of 32.5%.

The match was also broadcast by the pay-TV operator Sky Deutschland (multiplex and additional channel, see audience below), which exceptionally sub-licensed the broadcast rights for the match to ARD on 08/04/2019.

This is the fourth Bundesliga match broadcast on free-TV this season. The public-TV channel ZDF acquired three games (Matchday 1, 17 and 18) of the Bundesliga per season for the 2017-2021 cycle, for free-to-air broadcast, on 09/06/2016. These three games have averaged 6.86 million viewers this season (see details below).
