NFL and MLS: Twitter extends its audiovisual content distribution partnerships for several years

Twitter has extended its partnerships with the NFL and MLS for several years and will continue to offer daily audiovisual content (match summaries, highlights, analysis) to its users, according to the social network, on 29/04/2019. While the duration of the new agreement with the NFL has not been specified, the partnership with MLS will run until 2022.

Twitter previously extended its partnership with the NFL for several years on 11/05/2017, after a first extension until 2017 on 10/08/2015. Twitter has been an NFL partner since 2013 (see below). "The NFL will continue to programme a full slate of video highlights, breaking news and analysis, and will also include new live shows anchored around NFL tentpole events. Beginning with Kickoff and running through the NFL Draft, these live shows will be produced specifically for a Twitter audience, providing fans with unique access to some of the biggest events in sports. Additionally, the NFL will deliver more weekly content with new video clip series and content formats such as Q&As, fan polls and Twitter moments," said the social network…
