Arsenal favourite club of Chinese football fans according to a study from the University of Coventry

Arsenal are the favourite club for Chinese fans, according to a study by the CIBS (Centre for International Business of Sport) of Coventry University (ENG) on 05/02/2014. The London club is the most frequently cited (3,785 times) of the 16,000 people who responded to the question: "What is your favourite club?" Manchester United (3,210), AC Milan (2,204), Real Madrid (1,959) and FC Barcelona (1,930) round out the top five.

For the question "What is your favourite national team?", Germany are the most frequently cited (3,118 votes), followed by Italy (2,488) and Spain (2,418).

Finally, regarding the championships, the Premier League is the favourite Chinese competition, with 7,697 votes, ahead of La Liga (3,910) and Serie A (3,614).
