Eredivisie: Derbystar extends as official ball supplier for three additional seasons (2019-2022)

Derbystar, a German manufacturer of footballs and sports equipment belonging to the Dutch group Deventrade, has extended as the official ball supplier of the Eredivisie for three additional seasons (2019-2022), announced the Dutch league on 02/05/2019.

Deventrade has been a partner of the Netherlands league since 2006-07. Eredivisie extended its partnership with the Dutch group until the end of the 2018-19 season on 05/10/2015. Derbystar also became the official ball of the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga for the 2018-2022 cycle on 24/04/2017.

The Derbystar ball for the 2019-20 season will pay tribute to the Dutch painter Rembrandt, announced the Eredivisie on 08/04/2019 (see below). This initiative is part of the "Year of Rembrandt" (2019) in the Netherlands, which marks the 350^th anniversary of the painter's death (04/10/1669).

"Derbystar dares to choose elegant models, which often tell a strong social story. That's why they are an ideal partner for our league," explained Alex Tielbeke, president of the Eredivisie.
