Premier League: Josh Smith (currently at FIFA) appointed global head of media sales

Josh Smith (ENG), director of television services at FIFA, has been appointed global head of media sales at the Premier League and will leave his current post later this year in order to begin his new role "at the beginning of October," announced the English professional football league on 06/05/2019.

Prior to joining FIFA in May 2017, Josh Smith was simultaneously head of business development (June 2011 to July 2015) and head of media content sales (June 2011 to August 2015) of the Swiss sports marketing agency TEAM Marketing AG. Smith then became commercial director of BT Sport in September 2015, a position he filled until April 2017 when he left to take up the role of director of television services at FIFA.
