Real Madrid: adidas extends as the club's equipment supplier for over €110m/year (2020-2028)

The German sports equipment manufacturer adidas has extended its contract with Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) for eight more years "until June 2028," announced the Spanish club on 08/05/2019. The value of the agreement will be over €110m annually, to which over €25m of variable bonuses from merchandising could be added, according to multiple Spanish media.

The amount paid to the club will therefore be more than three times higher than the current contract, estimated at around €40m per year (including bonuses), which was due to end on 30/06/2020. adidas has been Real Madrid's equipment supplier since the 1998-99 season.

The extension of the agreement between adidas and Real Madrid will raise the contract to the level of the world's most lucrative equipment supplier contract concluded between the American brand Nike and FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) on 20/05/2016.
