Borussia Mönchengladbach: a turnover of €173.2m (-3.5%) and a net loss of €3.64m in 2018

Borussia Mönchengladbach (Bundesliga) posted a turnover of €173.2m in 2018 (from 01/01 to 31/12/2018), announced the club at its Annual General Meeting in Mönchengladbach (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany) on 29/04/2018.

This turnover is down by nearly 3.5% compared to 2017. This is the second consecutive year of decline, after posting a record of €196.87m in turnover in 2016. Borussia Mönchengladbach also posted a net loss of €3.64m, the club's first negative result since 2011. In 2017, the club made a net profit of €6.56m.

"The results of 2018 were inferior to those of the previous year, because in 2017 the club played two knockout games in the Europa League and reached the semi-final of the DFB-Pokal. These matches alone, made a difference of almost €8m," said the German club.
