FIFA: 69^th Congress in Paris (FRA) on 05/06/2019 (item 12: Election of the President)

The 69^th FIFA Congress will be held at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles (FRA) on Wednesday 05/06/2019 (09:00 CET), two days before the opening match of the 2019 Women's World Cup (France - South Korea opening match at the Parc des Princes in Paris, on Friday 07/06/2019, kick-off at 21:00), indicated the international confederation on 08/05/2019.

"Election of the FIFA President for the 2019-2023 term" is the title of agenda item 12 of this Congress, to which all 211 affiliated national federations are invited.

Gianni Infantino (SUI-ITA), FIFA president since 26/02/2016, is the only person to have made a candidature by the deadline of 05/02/2019: "Any candidacy for the presidency of FIFA must be communicated in writing to the FIFA General Secretariat at least four months before the date of the Congress, with the declaration of support of at least five member federations," states Article 27, Paragraph 1 of the FIFA Statutes.
