Bundesliga: an average of 3.14 goals per game and a title battle with two matchdays remaining (DFL)

"With an average of 3.14 goals per match, the Bundesliga is Europe's top league with the highest number of goals during the current 2018-19 season - ahead of the Premier League (2.80), Serie A TIM (2.66), LaLiga Santander (2.57) and Ligue 1 Conforama (2.55). In the past 2017-18 season, the Bundesliga already posted the highest average number of goals in the Top 5 European leagues, with an average of 2.8 per match. With the exception of the 2016-17 season, the Bundesliga has been Europe's top league with the most goals per match for 29 years," said the DFL, 08/05/2019.

"Two matchdays before the end of the season, the German champions have not yet been determined. The duel for the title between Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich is a highlight of the season. The clubs at the top of the table have alternated five times, and after Matchday 32 they are only separated by four points (74 for FC Bayern Munich and 70 for Borussia Dortmund)," added the German professional football league.
