Rene Valencia appointed commercial director of development and sponsorship at MP & Silva

Rene Valencia was appointed commercial director of development and sponsorship at the media rights agency MP & Silva for the Asia-Pacific region on 04/02/2014. He will be responsible for the expansion of the Asian Olympic Council marketing program and the growth of MP & Silva's Asian market. Based in Singapore, Valencia will work under the supervision of Peter Hutton, CEO of MP & Silva, and Mark Gorski, senior vice president in charge of international development and partnerships.

"The appointment of Rene Valencia aims to reaffirm MP & Silva’s focus on further growth in Asia and explore new commercial and sponsorship opportunities," said the agency on 07/02/2014. "MP & Silva has built a strong reputation as a leading sports media rights agency and has recently expanded its business to production, sponsorship and new projects such as media advisory in cooperation with the Asian Olympic Council."

Rene Valencia was director of international development for the NBA (National Basketball Association), from January to November 2012.
