Everton FC: activation of the partnership with SportPesa via a friendly match in Kenya on 07/07/2019

Everton FC (Premier League) will face Kariobangi Sharks FC (Kenya first division) in a friendly match at Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi (KEN) on Sunday 07/07/2019, announced the English club on 02/05/2019.

The match is part of the partnership between Everton FC and Kenyan betting operator SportPesa, which is a major partner and main shirt sponsor of the club since the 2017-18 season. The value of the contract between Everton and Sportpesa, which runs until the 2021-22 season, is estimated at £9.6m (€11.1m) per season.

"Kariobangi Sharks FC are winners of the 2019 edition of the SportPesa Cup, east Africa’s biggest football tournament, which took place in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, in January. Their 1-0 win over Bandari FC gave them regional supremacy and the opportunity to play the Blues," stated Everton FC.
