Premier League: Virgin Media renews and expands its partnership with Southampton FC (2019-2022)

The British telecommunications group Virgin Media has renewed and expanded its partnership with Southampton FC (Premier League) for three additional seasons, the 2019-2022 period, on 10/05/2019.

Virgin will therefore continue as the club's sleeve sponsor for the senior men's teams as well as for the U23 and U18 men's teams. Additionally, the British brand has become the first main shirt sponsor of the senior women's team (Southern Region Women's Football League). Virgin Media has the status of a major partner, the first level in the club's sponsorship hierarchy.

Virgin Media became a shirt sponsor of the senior men's team for two seasons (2017-2019) on 16/07/2017. Prior to that, the telecommunications group had become the main shirt sponsor of the first team for three seasons (2016-2019) on 08/06/2016. The annual value of the agreement is £10m (€12.7m), according to several British specialised media, eight times more than Veho (electronic devices) paid as shirt sponsor of the Saints over the 2014-2016 period (£1.2m/€1.5m per season).
