European Cups: FFF and LFP to submit a French "alternative proposal" to UEFA "before end of May"

The FFF and the LFP will submit "an alternative proposal" to the UEFA - ECA (see below) UEFA Champions League reform project for the period starting in 2024-25 "before the end of May", announced Noël Le Graët, president of the French Federation, Nathalie Boy de la Tour, president of the French League, and Didier Quillot, CEO of the French League, on 15/05/2019.

The three leaders spoke at a very brief press briefing after the extraordinary General Assembly of the LFP, held in Paris (FRA), formally attended by "16 Ligue 1 and 17 Ligue 2 clubs", said Nathalie Boy de la Tour (two additional Ligue 1 clubs were represented, in total 35 clubs were present or represented).

"First, Didier Quillot detailed the project of UEFA, then, secondly, and Florence Hardouin (general director of the FFF and member of the UEFA executive committee) presented an alternative proposal," added the president of the French League.
