Financial Fair Play: Manchester City FC referred to UEFA's CFCB adjudicatory chamber

"The Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) chief investigator, after having consulted with the other members of the independent investigatory chamber of the CFCB, has decided to refer Manchester City FC (Premier League) to the CFCB adjudicatory chamber following the conclusion of his investigation," announced UEFA on 16/05/2019.

"The CFCB investigatory chamber had opened an investigation into Manchester City FC on 07/03/2019 for potential breaches of Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations that were made public in various media outlets," said the European Confederation.

"The investigation will focus on several alleged violations of FFP that were recently made public in various media outlets," added UEFA, referring to the recent "Football Leaks" report, which began on 02/11/2018, on the initiative of 15 European media outlets grouped within the European Investigative Collaborations. The EIC, which analysed "more than 70 million documents over eight months", accuses UEFA of having been party to "the laundering more than €6bn of cash injections", notably with Manchester City FC, a…
