LFP: Washington DC tournament with Marseille, Bordeaux, Saint-Étienne and Montpellier (15-22/07/19)

Four Ligue 1 Conforama clubs, Olympique de Marseille, Girondins de Bordeaux, AS Saint-Étienne and Montpellier HSC will participate in a tournament organised by the LFP and sponsored by Electronic Arts, at the Audi Field, a brand new 20,000 capacity stadium and home of D.C. United (MLS), in Washington DC (USA) from Monday 15/07 to Monday 22/07/2019.

The official presentation of the competition, "an original initiative aimed at developing French football internationally," according to Première Ligue, a union of club presidents, will take place in the American federal capital on Sunday, 19/05/2019.

Each of the four teams will play two matches, as the tournament includes semi-finals, a match for third place and the final."We are working on a mini-tour project with a few European Ligue 1 Conforama clubs during the summer of 2019. Several clubs are interested. We are talking to Relevent (an American company specialised in media, sports and entertainment)," announced Didier Quillot, CEO of the LFP, on 08/01/2019.
