2019 Copa America: beIN has acquired TV rights in 27 territories, DAZN acquires the rights in Italy

The pay-TV group beIN Media Group has acquired the broadcasting rights in Australia and New Zealand for the CONMEBOL Copa America Brazil 2019 (in Brazil from 14/06 to 07/07/2019), on 17/05/2019. The agreement is in addition to those in France and MENA, according to the pay-TV group on the same day.

The agreement for Australia and New Zealand was concluded with the Japanese advertising group Dentsu, while those in France and MENA were concluded with the British agency Pitch International.

The OTT platform DAZN acquired the broadcasting rights for the competition in Italy on 15/05/2019.

2019 Copa America: 12 participants, Japan and Qatar invited

  • The 10 CONMEBOL-affiliated teams, as well as Japan and Qatar will participate in the Copa America 2019.
  • Since 1993, CONMEBOL has invited non-affiliated teams to participate in the competition.
  • This is the second time that Japan has participated in the Copa America after the 1999 edition, while it is the first time for Qatar.
