Umbro looks set to become the official kit and equipment supplier of FC Nantes (Ligue 1) from 2014-15. "It's not official yet, but we should have an announcement in the next few days," Waldemar Kita, president of the club, told NTF on 11/02/2014.

Umbro would replace the Italian equipment manufacturer Errea, partner of the club since the 2011-12 season. The contract period may be "four or five years," according to Kita, until 2017-18 or 2018-19. The funding is estimated at €500,000 per year.

Umbro has been reconstructing its portfolio of clubs for the 2014-15 season. The brand had previously been gradually selling most of its rights after its acquisition by Nike in 2007. Nike sold Umbro to the U.S. company Iconix Brand Group in October 2012 for almost €170m.

  • Umbro will be the kit and equipment sponsor of Everton (Premier League) as of the 2014-15 season. The five-year partnership will expire at the end of the 2018-19 championship.
  • Umbro will replace former parent group Nike, which paid nearly €3.5m in 2013-14 to Everton for kit and equipment rights.
