LFP: "EA Ligue 1 Games" summer tour with 4 French clubs in Washington DC sponsored by EA Sports

"As part of its strategy to promote French football internationally, the Ligue de Football Professionnel, in partnership with Electronic Arts, publisher of the FIFA video game, is launching 'EA Ligue 1 Games' a pre-season tour of the United States this summer," said the LFP on 20/05/2019. The event will take place from Monday 15/07 to Monday 22/07/2019.

Four Ligue 1 Conforama clubs, Olympique de Marseille, Girondins de Bordeaux, AS Saint-Étienne and Montpellier HSC, will participate in a tournament organised by the LFP and sponsored by Electronic Arts, at the Audi Field, a brand new 20,000 capacity stadium and home of DC United (MLS), in Washington DC (USA). The semi-finals will be played on 18/07/2019, while the match for third place and the final will be played on 21/07/2019. For the closing match of the event, Olympique de Marseille, owned by the US businessman Frank McCourt, will play DC United on 24/07/2019.
