Sky Bet Championship: Kappa succeeds Luke 1977 as equipment supplier of Aston Villa FC (2019-2022)

The Italian brand Kappa has become a principal partner and equipment supplier of Aston Villa FC (Sky Bet Championship) for three seasons (2019-2022), according to the club on 20/05/2019. Kappa succeeds Luke 1977, a British clothing brand based in Birmingham (ENG) and equipment supplier of the club in 2018-19.

Kappa will benefit from the status of principal partner, the first level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the club. The Italian brand will provide the kits for Aston Villa's men's, women's and youth teams.

In addition, this partnership is part of a three-party agreement as Kappa will work alongside the American online sportswear retailer Fanatics to create and supply all match and training kit. Kappa will be in charge of the design of the kits while Fanatics, the club's partner since 30/01/2017, will be in charge of their production and distribution. This type of three-party contract was previously agreed between Luke 1977, Fanatics and the club on 23/04/2018.
