Premier League: 38,182 spectators on average per game and an average fill rate of 96% in 2018-19

The 20 Premier League clubs posted an average of 38,182 spectators per game during the 2018-19 season, a very slight decrease (less than 1%) compared to the 2017-18 season (38,273 spectators). This makes the Premier League the second best league of the Top 5 European leagues in terms of attendance, behind the Bundesliga (43,450 spectators per game).

With 74,498 spectators per game at Old Trafford (74,879 capacity), Manchester United FC is the English club with the best attendance in the Premier League in 2018-19. The club, which operates in the largest capacity stadium of the English league (excluding Wembley Stadium, 90,000 capacity, used by Tottenham Hotspur FC for 14 matchdays in 2018-19, including seven matchdays with a capacity reduced to 51,000), has a fill rate of over 99%, the fourth best of Top 5 in terms of spectators behind Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga, 80,841 spectators), FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander, 75,208 spectators) and FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga, 75,000 spectators).
