RC Strasbourg Alsace: Stade de la Meinau renovation project presented (32,000 places, €100m cost)

RC Strasbourg Alsace (Ligue 1 Conforama) presented its project for the extension-restructuring of the Stade de la Meinau (26,280 capacity), for a total cost of €100m, on 17/05/2019.

"The capacity of the Meinau will increase from 26,280 to 32,000 places, including 3,660 VIP seats. The stadium will also house 8,000m2 of reception areas concentrated in a single stand (compared to 2,849m2 currently) and 12,300m2 of spaces and services dedicated to the general public (compared to 7,100m2 currently), including four 'Fan's bars' and a 100% female space (the 'Kop'In'), a multifunctional 'Fanzone', a convivial space that can accommodate 5000 people, and which will constitute a real entry point of the 'Racing universe'. The public will be able to circulate all around the enclosure thanks to a sheltered walkway," stated the Alsatian club.
