Premier League: £9.2bn (€10.4bn) for domestic and international TV rights over the 2019-2022 cycle

The value of the Premier League's international TV rights for the 2019-2022 cycle will be £4.2bn (€4.76bn, or €1.59bn per season), an increase of £1bn (€1.13bn, +31%) compared to the 2016-2019 cycle, according to Richard Masters, interim CEO of the Premier League, who spoke at the Financial Times business of football summit on 21/05/2019.

This increase more than offsets the decrease in domestic TV rights (allocated to Sky, BT Sport and Amazon, see details below) by around 7%, or an estimated £5bn (€5.67bn) compared to £5.4bn in the current cycle, despite the increase in the number of matches broadcast live (200 for 2019-2022 compared to 168 in 2016-2019).

In total, the cumulative value of Premier League TV rights over the 2019-2022 period will be around £9.2bn (€10.45bn, or €3.48bn per season) compared to the current £8.6bn (€9.75bn, or €3.25bn per season).
